The history of coffee tamper

September 29, 2016
One day I went to my crony’s café. We sat there to drink some coffee and have a talk. We have talked a bit about women, then about politics. Afterward, he started the same old song: pitchers, tampers, holders.
Well, I told him that when we form our buckles, we also use tampers. So I said: “Show this tricky stuff.”
So he brought an extremely expensive, imported tamper, and there is nothing so tricky in it, just round chiseled base with wooden bolted handle.
As I was holding this tamper in my hand, I reminded myself that people used to produce tools with love before. People used to make things that are pleasant just to hold in your hands.
So I thought that our baristas deserve worthier tools and that is how Klamra started making tampers.
