Leather belt with brass buckle “Templar”
The Templars - one of the most famous Christian knightly orders, which was founded in the early 11th century. In addition to military affairs, the Templars had good luck in usury, construction and charity. At the height of their power, the Templars, in addition to a powerful army (up to 20,000 knights, chaplains, armed forces, and servants), had an extensive network of command, castles, and monasteries, playing a key role in medieval Europe. The Templars had permission from the Galician princes to trade salotvin salt. In the XII century. On the site of the modern village of Sredne was built the castle of Frau de Bermagne (1088-1169), the strongest Catholic order of the Templars (temples) in Western Europe. Destroyed, it has survived to our times and is considered one of the main monuments of Transcarpathia.
