Hati (Old Scan. Hati) is a wolf in Scandinavian mythology that chases the moon Mani (Mani) in the sky every night, trying to devour it. Lunar eclipses occur when Gati gets dangerously close to Mani. Hati has a brother Skol, who chases the sun. Both are likely sons/brothers of Fenrir. The children made noise and banged cauldrons to scare Hati and drive him away from the moon. When Ragnarok comes, Skol and Hati will catch up and eat the moon and the sun.
