Belt buckle “Edelweiss”

Handmade belt buckle “Edelweiss”.

The basis of the buckle is the new logo of the Ukrainian Mountainous Infantry - a picture of the flower of Edelweiss and two Hutsul axes. Edelweiss flower is revered by all mountain nations as a symbol of courage and hardiness. In the Carpathians, this flower is especially respected, where it is called "silk mace". Not for nothing the mountain military units of many countries have chosen the edelweiss as a mascot. In the Ukrainian performance, the emblem is complemented by two bartks, the legendary axe of the Hutsuls.

Buckles are cast from brass. After casting, each buckle processed manually. After processing the buckle, cover by patina and polishing one more time. 
Buckle comes complete with a brass frame of 2 sizes to choose from (38 mm and 45 mm) for later attachment to the belt.
