Belt buckle “Triquetra”
Triquetras were found on runic stones in Northern Europe and on early German coins. Probably for pagans they had religious significance and were similar to Valknut, a symbol associated with Odin. Similar symbols also adorned Celtic crosses and slabs of early Christianity. This common knot was used alone for two centuries of Celtic Christianity by pagans and agnostics as a symbol of the trinity.
Belt buckle made from brass, by casting. After manual processing tool covered with patina. Buckle comes complete with a brass frame 2 sizes to choose from (38 mm and 45 mm) for later attachment to the belt.
