Artictic brass processing. Chapter two.
After we received casted buckle workpiece, we are getting back to work.
Firstly, buckles are cut off the funnel, which is remelted later. Every buckle is being processed manually with an engraver.
After fixing all the casting flaws, we process our buckles with various abrasives and polish certain surfaces later.
Since we are satisfied with our result, we start covering buckles with patina, which gives our buckle proper contrast and vintage look.
After washing and drying, buckles are polished again. Some spots are highlighted with soft abrasive sponges, that contrast with dark patina and form final look of the buckle.
Finally, buckle goes through vibration processing (it is polished with abrasive granules) which makes buckle shine.
