German silver belt buckle “Zgarda”
The central element in this buckle is a classical Hutsul talisman - zgarda. Zgarda - a pre-Christian amulet in the form of a specific form of crosses, which are similar to Christian, called Teutonic or Maltese crosses. After processing the buckle, cover by patina and polishing one more time.
Buckles are cast in german silver (an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc). May contain a slight yellowish tinge. After casting, each buckle processed manually. After processing the buckle, cover by patina and polishing one more time.
